On his recent article about Brexit, than merrill says that the long-term impacts of Brexit are still not known after the U.K. voted to leave the EU. However, he insisted that the likely impact will be the pull out of money from the UK by investors. If that happens, Merrill believes there is a good chance investors will choose the U.S. over the UK.

Many real estate professionals have already predicted that the UK's property market will suffer a price drop. Some investors such as Juwai.com, the largest Chinese International property portal pointed out that Brexit was an opportunity for the offshore buyers to bargain for better prices. According to KC Sanjay, an economist at Axiometrics, Brexit could decrease the value of the UK's real estate in the short-term, but it may stabilize once the UK seeks new trade deals on its own.
